Ultravation®

Filtration

Ultravation® ProgressiveMedia™ captures airborne contamination better with less air flow resistance.

Our filters holds more dirt and last longer -- with a 6 month typical replacement! Their pleated design allows for more filter material in less space— our standard 20"x25" filter contains 32 square feet of ProgressiveMedia!

High Performance Filter Design

ProgressiveMedia™ is constructed with increasing fiber density from the upstream to the downstream side, so the largest airborne particles are captured in the first part of the filter, and progressively smaller particles collect through the filter. With the larger particles captured early in the process, the smallest particles accumulate in the most dense, final layers of the media.

UltraStrand™ Shaped Fiber Technology

Permanent electrostatic
charging for improved capture

In addition to layered progressive construction, ProgressiveMedia™ utilizes Ultrastrand™ state-of-the-art shaped fibers, with permanent electrostatic charging. The special shaped and static charge combine to capture and hold particles at an unprecedented high level of particulate capture efficiency. Performing well beyond regular filters, Ultravation® ProgressiveMedia™ removes air contaminates far better -- achieving a high degree of particle capture without adding undue air flow resistance! Technically, they achieve an initial dust spot efficiency of 51% and an average dust spot efficiency of 56%, while maintaining the lowest pressure drop in the industry! This makes an Ultravation® ProgressiveMedia™ filter the most sensible filter you can buy.

Meets or exceeds MERV 11 Standards

Ultravation® ProgressiveMedia™ meets or exceeds the MERV 11 industry standard (ASHRAE 52.2). this goal is achieved without additional air resistance in the HVAC system. In fact, Ultravation ProgressiveMedia™ achieves MERV 11 air cleaning performance, with no more resistance than the common MERV 8 filter.

About MERV Standards

The American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the air filter industry have agreed on a standardized rating system, known as a MERV rating for each type of air filter. This system is used to compare and classify mechanical air filters and the overall effectiveness of any type of filter on airborne particulates, especially those that are less than 3 microns in size.

MERV 11 filtration, featuring ProgressiveMedia™ Filtration, is standard in all Ultravation® filter models.
